Dr. Jamie Boulter Prbyl received her B.Sc. from Lake Superior State University in Michigan and her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 2004. She grew up on a horse and dairy farm in Canada and spent her youth showing Quarter Horses. Following veterinary school, she completed an equine medical and surgical internship at Pilchuck Equine Referral Hospital in Washington state. Upon her return to Minnesota in 2005, Jamie practiced at a small animal hospital before joining Buffalo Equine and Large Animal Clinic in March of 2006. While she likes all aspects of equine practice, she particularly enjoys the challenges of equine internal medicine, reproduction, and neonatology. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys almost all outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. |

Dr. Dave Wright is a 1977 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He has practiced with the Buffalo Veterinary Clinic/Buffalo Equine and Large Animal Clinic since 1980 and has been a partner for most of that time. He is involved in managing the practice and has helped it adapt to the changing demographics and expanding client expectations that are a part of a growing community. His thirty years in veterinary medicine have given him a valuable background working with dairy, equine, small ruminants, and swine. Recent travel adventures have allowed him to practice with equine specialists. A week with a reproductive clinic in Pennsylvania and four months at Invercargill, New Zealand. He returns to Buffalo fortified with additional experience and skill in equine reproduction, medicine, surgery and lameness. |

Dr. George Theisen received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in 1981 and his veterinary degree in 1985 from the University of Minnesota. He has practiced here in Buffalo since 1986 and has played a significant role in the growth of our equine clientele. He enjoys all aspects of equine practice and is known for his in-depth knowledge that he shares by way of simple witty explanations. His hobbies include golf and hunting with his flat coat retriever, Burke.

Dr. Steve Boster graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He practiced in Cold Spring and Sauk Centre, MN until coming to the Buffalo Equine and Large Animal Clinic in 2001. He grew up on a family hobby farm near Mora, MN. Since arriving at Buffalo, with its steadily increasing demand for equine services, he has focused his attention and continuing education efforts on equine medicine and servicing our equine clientele. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Dr. Boster recently became a partner in the business. |

Dr. Heather D. Damico grew up in Hermantown, MN, where she enjoyed a variety of riding disciplines from 4-H to Pony Club. She earned her undergraduate degree at UW-River Falls, and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining BELAC in March 2008, Heather completed an internship at the Piedmont Equine Practice in Virginia with a focus on sport horse medicine.
Dr. Damico enjoys equine activities outside of work as well, and is looking forward to continuing her education in dressage. |
