About Our Equine and Large Animal Veterinarians
 |
Dr. JamiePribyl received her B.S.C. from Lake Superior State University in Michigan and her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 2004. She grew up on a horse and dairy farm in Canada and spent her youth showing Quarter Horses. Following veterinary school, she completed an equine medical and surgical internship at Pilchuck Equine Referral Hospital in Snohomish, Washington. Jamie joined the Buffalo Equine and Large Animal Clinic in March of 2006 and became a partner in the practice in 2008. While she likes all aspects of equine practice, she particularly enjoys the challenges of equine sports medicine, reproduction, and neonatology. In March 2010 Jamie became certified in animal chiropractic and is pleased to add animal chiropractic as another service offered by our clinic. Outside of work, Jamie and her husband, Steve, breed and raise racing Quarter Horses and barrel horses. |

Since arriving at Buffalo, with its steadily increasing demand for equine services, he has focused his attention and continuing education efforts on equine medicine and servicing our equine clientele. Steve grew up on a family hobby farm near Mora, MN and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. |

Prior to joining BELAC in March 2008, Heather completed an internship at the Piedmont Equine Practice in Virginia with a focus on sport horse medicine and has used those skills to expand our practice in that area. Heather enjoys equine activities outside of work as well, but has been spending most of her free time recently with her husband and new son, Zachary. |

Dr. Dave Wright is a 1977 graduate of the University of Minnesota. He has practiced with the Buffalo Veterinary Clinic/Buffalo Equine and Large Animal Clinic since 1980 and has been a partner until his retirement from the partnership in September of 2010. He continues to serve the practice on a part-time “as needed” basis and looks forward to this new, more flexible role. His thirty-plus years in veterinary medicine have given him a valuable background working with dairy, equine, small ruminants, and swine. As an empty-nester, he enjoys combining travel and service with his wife, Sue |
